April 2025. The month I finally stopped talking about taking the leap and actually did it!

I quit my job and went freelance.

After ten-plus years working in different creative roles, learning something new in every single one, I got to a point where I wanted more freedom, room to actually grow, and work that excited me again. So I stopped overthinking it, stopped waiting for the perfect moment that was never going to arrive, and took the leap I’d been circling for years.

Now, I help business owners and entrepreneurs bring their ideas to life, through branding, graphic design, social media, content creation and website design.

If you know me, you’ll know I’m a perfectionist with a serious soft spot for the small details, the things most people look straight past without noticing, and the things I will always notice. That’s just how my brain works, and it’s one of the reasons I’m good at what I do…my slightly obsessive attention to detail finally feels like a strength rather than a flaw!

I used to think people only made big changes once they felt completely ready. Apparently not. Most of us take the leap feeling unsure, a bit nervous, and excited, all at the same time.

If you’re reading this and you’ve got advice to share, I’d love to hear it. The good, the hard, the things you wish someone had told you before you took your own leap. It’s always reassuring to know you’re not the only one figuring it out as you go.

P.S. A little something that helped me, just in case it helps you too:

“I think that life really comes down to deciding to follow your heart over your fears. Your heart speaks to you through your feelings deep within while fear speaks through others and judgments out there. Your heart can say to leave a relationship but fear can say you will be judged harshly for leaving. Your heart may say to start a new career but fear may say you are comfortable where you are now and it is not worth the risk. If you follow your heart anyways, your life will undoubtedly change. You will be guided by your true self instead of fear or doubt. You will find the people and jobs and places truly meant for you, and the rest will fall into place.” ~ Nikki Warne, from the book Shine from Within

So…

Here’s to following your heart over your fears, to listening to that quiet voice that won’t stop whispering you want more, and to building something you’re genuinely proud of.

Ready when you are!

Big ideas, small details, and everything in between.
